INDEPENDENT AND ACCURATE INFORMATION

  • Devote adequate time for comprehensive research

  • Recalibrate reporting objectives, when needed, to publish information that is relevant and accurate

 

CONSENT

 

  • Seek informed consent prior to photographing, voice and video recording

  • While radio and audio interviews inherently seek consent in the process leading up to the interview, explicit notice will be given when recording begins

  • Interviews may be edited for context, clarity and never to exploit

 

PLAGIARISM/ATTRIBUTION

  • Follow careful workflow to avoid inadvertent plagiarism

  • Maintain strict policy of attribution

 

 

SOURCES – Diversity and Protection

 

  • Seek Sources beyond obvious individuals with influence

  • Identify Sources of information in reporting, whenever possible

  • Do not disclose the identity of individuals providing important details but insist upon off-the-record information
